  1. How long have you been on DeviantArt?  6 Amazing years! =D

  2. What does your username mean? Well, I know it's german, a looooong while ago I wanted to put a cool name to a character on a MMORPG, I was so into learning german I even bought this little dictionary, so, when the moment to name this character came I searched for something with a dark meaning (the character was a kind of thief), I remember I found this word that was very long, but the meaning was what I was looking for, so, I made it short, the Funny part is that not so long ago I discovered that the actual meaning of Zeich is "drawing", guess my surprised mug when I found out that something somehow random could get this meaningful in relation of what I choosed to make my job xD, funny huh?

  3. Describe yourself in three words. Passionate - Weird - Peaceful

  4. Are you left or right handed? Right handed for drawing, left handed to eat =D

  5. What was your first deviation? I always forget it since I uploaded tons of this for a few days, but I remember they are all on my old sketchbook that, of course, I still keep =D

  6. What is your favourite type of art to create? Well, I think I do not have a favourite one, it depends on the mood I am, but as of right now I am very into concept art style, landscapes and some character design too =D

  7. If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be? Animation, I'm learning by myself right now, and master it instantly could be the perfect boost to my skills.

  8. What was your first favourite? knowing myself back then, something to do with anime, sadly I'm not longer super fan of anime or manga, only few ones that doesn't repeat style and can stand out are still inspirational to me =)

  9. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most? Concept art, I can stare at them for hours, getting ideas and admiring just for the fun of it xD

  10. Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist? Oh nonono, I can't say that, that's like deciding wich of your children is your favourite xD I like all of them for different reasons, that's what I like about deviantART, you can see that special something that no one else has in everyone else =)

  11. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be? Well, since it's an account, I would say Imaginism Studios and then I can meet all of them at once hahaha

  12. How has a fellow deviant impacted your life? I think that everytime I get a comment is amazing, and when I get a critique it makes my day, just to think someone takes a little bit of their personal time to post something on one of my deviations makes my day, so I would say all those who had commented, faved, whatched or made a critique on a deviation of my own =)

  13. What are your preferred tools to create art? as of right now I use a lot my Surface (Thank u DArt - Vice - Microsoft people =D), some indian ink and oil painting too =)

  14. What is the most inspirational place for you to create art? I haven't found it yet, physically speaking, but, even if it sounds silly, my mind helps a lot, litening to music and slowly drift away from here can do the trick xD and, of course, the help of my loyal friend, my Callus xD Meet my callus by Zeich

  15. What is your favourite DeviantArt memory? This is the hardest one, not because I can't choose one, but because I have the worst memory ever, sooo, to make this simple, I'll choose a recent one, a year ago, thanks to DeviantART I got to travel for the first time to the US, and not only to the US, but littlerally to the other side of the world, to Hawaii, and you can tell I had a terrific time by these three deviations =)

Hello guyz!! =D

Back from vacations here, I saw that DeviantART is getting old, so I might as well celebrate the wisdom this comunity has bestowed upon almost every deviant including myself =D

I remember moving from Venezuela to Spain back in 2007, at that time I was very confused about what I wanted to do with my professional life, I still am, but now I have chosen a path as you can see.

at first I wanted to be an acheologist or something related, I was very obsessed with mummies and all the ancient egypt stuff, being able to find and discover new things has an effect on me, but
as I progressed through my education many teachers told me I had a talent for drawing, I was drawing literally almost all the time, I never leave home without my sketchbook, and back in the day I was always carryng something that I can draw with. When I moved to Spain I already had a skecthbook full and already beggining another, and began to think where I could find a place to shere my art with the world, by the time I found Deviant art, end of summer of 2008, I was starting on art school, you can still check out my scrapbook and look for some of my firsts deviations, I did't had a tablet yet, so I just did pencil drawings, scanned them and submitted them, waiting for the comunity to react.

At first I chose DArt cuz someone's recomendation, I even posted a question on the internet looking for advice, the answer i got was more or less, go to DeviantART, they have a great community, nice comments, critiques and very open minded artists. As far as I can tell this is one of the best places an artist can be, being able to reach more easily the people that likes your art and the ones you like is a great feature I've never seen before, and I'm so glad to be part of it.

I've grown alongside this community. I've learned so much the past 5 years

I began submmiting this style of deviation, general things that came to my mind, sometimes just drawings from a photograph

As I got my hands on a tablet I started like crazy to make a lot of Digital work, from Scify to portraits either realistic or something more simple

Almost two years later I was getting the hang of it and started to try new things like animation, that's when I started to get a lot of views, people loved some of the sequences I made, and
that's pretty much why I'm currently doing a personal short-film, it all started like an experiment, now I'm even thinking on making this part of my life.

As years went by I started to draw more and more often, and not only try to improve my style, but also trying new things and be faster, the only way you can learn how to draw, is drawing, right? xD
that's why I also enjoy doing fast little sketches whenever I got free time, something like these guys down here =D

since I'm getting more and more confidence in my style I started trying for a new thing to me: Contests! =D

This year had been awesome, back in june I got 4rth place with this baby as part of a FanART contest created by Ubisoft

The Division Fan-ART by Zeich

and this July I got 3rd place for the transformation Challenge, this one created by DevianART, Vice and the guys from Motherboard.
Thanks to this disturbing image I got to travel to Hawaii (I just got back from the trip, so the jetlag is killing me D=) and meet with Jasper Wong
a very cool Artist, to make a collab mixing both our styles, and, may I say, it was incredible, the whole trip and sketching around the island was the
experience I needed to boost my spirit, this won't be the last contest I get in for sure...

And I guess this is where I'm right now, my pencil, a piece of blank paper and my thumb callus, out to more exciting adventures
to live and to share with this great community.

Thank you DArt and Happy B-day to you!!! =D
